Dr. Stephanie Rettenmeier
Optometrist
Dr. Rettenmeier grew up in southeastern Wisconsin. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point in 2012 followed by her Doctorate of Optometry with distinction from Pacific University in 2017.
Dr. Rettenmeier completed a residency with the Department of Veterans Affairs Portland Health Care System at their Salem Community Based Outpatient Clinic in 2018. Here she specialized in primary eye care and treating conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy. She also provided low vision services to those with vision loss secondary to glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes, and strokes.
Before joining Lifetime Vision Care, Dr. Rettenmeier worked at Eye to Eye Clinic, a private practice in Wilsonville, OR. Here she was able to work with patients of all ages, focusing on primary eye care, contact lens fittings, and co-managing ocular disease. She enjoys taking the time to get to know her patients and to provide them with compassionate, individualized care.
In her free time, Dr. Rettenmeier enjoys exploring the outdoors, reading, and cooking meals with her husband. She is also an avid knitter and fiber artist.
Diego where he was able to work with patients of all ages. He rounded out his clinical training at a private medical ophthalmology/optometry clinic, where he gained additional skills in contact lens fitting and design.
Prior to working at Lifetime Vision Care, Dr. Karben spent 8 years at Eyehealth Northwest, a well-known ophthalmology group in Portland, Oregon.
Dr. Karben and his wife, Dr. Emily Karben, another optometrist, are having a blast with their young son and daughter. In his free time, Dr. Karben enjoys spending time outdoors fly fishing, backpacking, kayaking, and snowshoeing.
